These first two weeks of my German class have been so hectic—fantastisch, aber schwerig—that I have barely had time to breathe. But today on my way home, on a whim, I stopped at Newbury Comics. And saw that the first issue of “Comedian: Before Watchmen” is out. I’m an enormous fan of Brian Azzarello. Everything he does is great, it really is. And this is no exception: he treats Alan Moore’s character carefully, while at the same time weaving a story in his own distinct voice. I can already tell, this is the start of an excellent miniseries. And while usually I’m content to wait for the collected editions to come out… This one, I really can’t wait to read the next issue!
