Valor's Minion

“The old, slow, creaking descriptions are a thing of the past; today the rule is brevity - but every word must be supercharged, high-voltage.”

Monkey Dust.

One of the things I’ve really loved, during this year in the UK, has been discovering all these amazing shows on the BBC.

Monkey Dust is…well, you take dark comedy, and then you just dip it into the most evil horrifying sludge you can imagine, and gleefully parade it around, you get a vague idea of what the show is like.

You need to watch a full episode to really understand how it jumps around from one gawdawful thing to something that is—somehow—even worse (and I love every minute of it!), and then…well, you get the idea.

There are some great recurring characters, like the Paedofinder General (in the above video), Clive, Ivan Dobsky, and the rubbish terrorists.

I love black comedy, and this is some of the blackest ever made. I am going to make a point of introducing it to some friends when I get back to the States.
